Jogging robot sets the pace

Tomorrow morning, 29 Jun 2012, 6.45am, ABC Radio Australia will be interviewing Florian ‘Floyd’ Mueller about the Joggobot live.

Yesterday the team from the Exertion Games Lab got together for a team photo (missing: Ruth, Jonathan, Chris x2, Harry, Alex, Atticus & safety team). This was the result:

The LumaHelm gets a lot of attention right now, today SBS filmed the LumaHelm for the World News program, including Sebastiaan skating with it! Furthermore, Wouter gave a phone interview about the LumaHelm to a Dutch radiostation, and tonight, both Alan and Wouter will talk about the Exertion Games Lab and the LumaHelm on RRR radio.

While Twitter is still trending Joggobot, The Age, Australia’s major newspaper, has already reported on our latest project, Wouter’s interactive helmet LumaHelm which features 104 LEDs and a bunch of sensors. The comments flogged in as soon as the story went online in the top news section (the online ‘frontpage’ equivalent) talking about cycling safety and the opportunities the LumaHelm affords (Photo: Craig Sillitoe).

Channel 10’s Breakfast TV show will be filming the Joggobot tomorrow morning, Wed 13 June, 7.50am right outside the Exertion Games Lab. The interview with Chad and Floyd will be streamed to the Sydney studio and from there broadcasted live, so tune in tomorrow morning!

Joggobot received even more media coverage! Most of my day now consists of answering questions from the media.
