Regaine is a research project that explores the intersection between play and rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation helps you get back to participating with your sports team. Injured players often have little inspiration to keep up with their rehabilitation exercises. We propose a game that uses the team to inspire the injured player to do their rehabilitation exercises. The challenge for game designers is to incorporate both rehabilitation exercises (determined by physiotherapist) and team exercises (determined by coach) that are both radically different. In conclusion we suggest that a carefully designed game around this challenge can inspire the injured player to do their rehabilitation which helps them to get back with their sports team quicker.
Regaine is currently work in progress and is brought to you by Joshua Platt, Chad Toprak and Florian ‘Floyd’ Mueller and supported by the members of the lab.
